Bottling spigot on kegmenter

Is there any reason not to drill a dedicated kegmenter to accept a bottling spigot? Is there any unobvious consideration I might be neglecting?

I say “dedicated” because obviously it would no longer hold pressure and would be useless as a serving keg.

Why not just bottle out of the existing keg post?

I was wondering the same.

I was trying to avoid having to tie the kegmenter into a gas supply.  Gravity is abundant and free.

But what I’ll probably do is just shorten the dip tube and use gas … that’s a less invasive operation.

The only downside I can think of is adding one more area to clean, but that’s certainly not going to make you pause.

You’re not a fan of racking?

I’ve always found siphoning awkward.
