Brew Dawgs!

Hey I thought it would be cool to have a place to post your brewing assistants. Here’s my buddies.  8)

Muddy’s the Chocolate Lab and Louis’ the Yorkie Poo

Here’s my three kids

Porkchop, my oldest. She rocks!!!

Stinky, the little princess.

And Harley (Harlen James) my little man.

Is Stinky drunk in that picture?

Nah. she’s just real stupid.

This is Beatrix. She’s a two and a half year old Ridgeback mix.

The fiancee has a 10 year old white terrier mix rescue guy named “Toby” who’s help on brewdays usually consists of coming over every 20 minutes or so to check out that I’m there doing my thing before finding a quiet place to collapse.

Tomorrow we pick up another rescue guy… an 8lb red squirrel looking Chihuahua named Sammy. He’s 5. We’ll see how he does as a brew dog. Gotta remember not to lose him in the mash tun!

I forgot to mention they love peanut butter.

here’s Porter, beer lover and Chief Brewing Assistant:

and here’s Abby, turns her nose up to beer, but likes bacon as she is licking her chops in this pic for:

Here’s three of the four.  From left to right, Mister and Punkin (shelties), and Renfro (Aussie shepherd) these guys like to just hang with us.  Missing is Silas (rathound, Yorkie, Pom mix), he’ll lick up the spilled wort.

A fine bunch indeed Weaz!

Do any of them like to hang out…or for that matter are allowed to hang out while you’re brewing?

My boys love to be in the midst of it all…

Do you hunt with her. Just wondering, because this breed is known for it’s bravery and hunting skills.

Beautiful dog you have there!

Now that is the queen of all lapdogs.

She looks like she’s lap trained.

Another beauty!

I love retrievers. They are awesome family pets. Great with kids. Just all around great dogs

Do you have any water (ponds, lakes, etc…) nearby. If my Lab sees water…he’s in it. I wish I had a pond in my yard for him.

Another set of beautiful dogs.

One of these days…we’ll have introduce our dogs to each other.

Thanks!

I don’t hunt, but I do frequently take her hiking and she’s an excellent outdoors companion. She also makes for a great guard dog but at the same time has the absolute sweetest disposition.

Hard to believe that someone left her at a shelter.

thanks!  yeah, these two really stole my heart - they really are some of the best friends.

we do have a 70-80 acre lake down the street that I run them around, but believe it or not, they don’t really care about the water.  they like to splash in shallow water but don’t swim.  my wife and I rescued both of them at a shelter (my wife volunteers there from time to time) and I don’t wonder if the lab in particular wasn’t traumatized before he got to us at ~ age 2.

that’s okay though, I prefer to only have to give them a bath every few weeks!

I see a recurring theme of rescued dogs here. That’s so awesome. I have two pound pups myself and couldn’t have asked for better dogs. First is a black lab/great dane mix who is our crazy girl Talledega. After about 6 months of her being a pure lab (destruction, hyper, etc) we found Sugar Bear, our Maremma Sheepdog at another pound. She is the complete opposite of Tally, but is loyal and protective to a fault. I’ll post pics soon, but again, so great to see so many people adopting.

agreed, second lease on life, man, nothing better.

My brewing assistant, Zeke. He’s not the smartest, or the prettiest, or the best smelling but… well I like him.

Not really any place for them to lay in brewery, but they do check in on me from time to time. And Harley has been know to drop he occasional duce down there too.  ::slight_smile:
