Sorry about the thread jack, but does anyone use Barkeepers Friend with CIP? When I use mine, I break everything down, boil the SS parts and use a BK paste consistency to clean the kettle. Is it advisable to make the BK less of a paste and circulate using a pump? Would it do any damage to the pump (chugger, plastic)?
I’d still scrub the kettle but I wonder if a warm BK solution would help clean out the pick up tubes, ball valve, etc. Of course there would be a recirculation of clean water done after.
