Brewery upgrade

It came with a New Years resolution.

What you need to do is rig the brew gear to it.

Looks like it has a catwalk.

Nice, we set up a room with free weights, rowing machine, treadmill, and elliptical.  It’s unfortunately all very lonely. Good luck

The accompanying New Years resolution wasn’t made by me. The wife is pretty fit and claims she is not going to let me turn this into a clothes this hanger.

I’d use my elliptical more but it’s hard to get to with all the carboys and other brewing equipment stacked around it  ;D

Seems like a low value way to move equipment in the brewery.

I usually work out in my garage while the mash is going.  Sac up, boys.

Its that time of year. I let some good habits slip and some unhelpful ones develop between the holidays and my Mom passing away a couple weeks ago. I actually just committed to give up drinking for the rest of January. I’m on retreat for the last week of January so its really just a couple weeks of effort. Also setting up for indoor exercise. My main exercise is hiking but in the winter its usually too much ice like now or waist deep snow like last year plus its dark after work. I’m going to get something better than ordinary yak trax with cleats so I can hike in icy conditions.

I would recommend Kahtoola Micro spikes over Yak Trax although they are more expensive.  Falling on your butt or worse is no fun!

Thanks for the tip, definitely willing to spend more $ for an effective product. Yak Trax can give a false sense of security on hard ice. I know someone who fell and broke an arm while wearing them on ice.

Like the grain mill!

Man, I would love to have a home gym someday.  On the other hand, once you get into the habit, actually being at the gym is kind of fun and helps keep you motivated.

Sorry to hear about your mom.  My dad passed about 3 months ago, and it sucks.

Sorry to hear your mom passed Pete.

I’ve always wanted to rig something up so I could have my bike hooked up and pedal to mill grains.

God, I dread the day either my mom or dad dies…ugh. Sorry to hear it, Pete.

Thanks for the kind thoughts everyone. She was 87 and had a clear mind but her body was done. It hurts but I’m mostly grateful that she was here and happy so long. All six of us kids plus some grand kids were with her as she passed which was sweet.

Nice - I remember.

Pete, I am sorry about your Mom but glad she got to be with so many of you and was of good mind.

My sentiments exactly

The catwalk reference made me chuckle too.  ;D  I guess the brewing monkey didn’t make the photo.
