Hi Guys, I currently have one tattoo ( a valknut with the Norse runes around it) and am starting to think about my next one. I don’t get a lot of tattoos, it took me 6 years of thinking it over before I got my first. I think over the years brewing has become an important and happy aspect of my life worth capturing in some way as a tattoo, but I am having trouble conceptualizing what it could look like. I don’t want something obnoxious like a huge tankard of ale or anything like that. I was thinking something along the lines of the AHA logo but without the letters maybe, not sure. Have any of you ever seen any good brew/brewing related tattoos?
I think you should get Charlie Papzian’s face across your back, as big as possible with the letters “RDWHAHB” arched over his head. That would look awesome!
Lol, Charlie with the glass of beer and the tilted head.
I think a stylized hop cone/bine would look good. Take a gander at this label designed by a tattoo artist:
A friend of mine has a big hopcone on one shoulder, with bines around it. I’ve never taken a really good look at it, but from what I’ve seen it looks pretty cool.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
I’ve seen her too. It’s not polite to stare.
I’ve actually always wanted a tattoo of Tattoo.
I was thinking of getting a hop vine tramp stamp.
I saw a guy at a phish show once who had the word “beer” tattooed across his lower back in gothic lettering.
Gothic RDWHAHB across the stomach gangbanger style. :o
I like the hop-bine. It’s what first came to mind.

Like any tattoo site, it might not be safe for work viewing . . .
Wow, there are a couple of decent ones there, but it is amazing some of the shit people will put on their bodies.
Hop bine wrapped around your bicept? or how bout that tatoo of Charlie on your back with a hop bine wrapped around his head like the crown of thorns on Jesus?! with the gangbanger style RDWHAHB gangbanger style below him?!
I’ve seen one as the hop bine around the bicep, instead of barbed wire or tribal totem or whatever.
It was also cool because it was on a woman brewer who regularly kicks ass in regional competitions, and who medaled in the NHC second round this year.
