I received a supporter version of Bru’n Water and noticed that none of the pull down cells work, even with macros are enabled. Examples include;
-Program Volume Setting
-Grain Types
-Desired Water Profile, etc.
Any ideas? I emailed Martin, but figured this may get a faster response. Cheers!
Windows or Mac? Are you using Excel? I use Excel on both platforms and it works fine. The Mac has a few issues with the long drop downs and scrolling - but it works.
You may need to enable editing in the document and save as before some of the features work.
I bet you have a mac. It’s a known issue caused by Microsoft’s port of Excel to the mac. Don’t click but keep pushing the button, then you can scroll up and down.
Yup, Mac and Excel. The clicking trick did the trick, thanks!
One other issue, while saving as .xlsx, I get a message that warns visual basic macros will be disabled. I’m curious if there are some big visuals I’m missing that I don’t know about. Anyone care to take a screen shot?
not really. The interface looks slightly different but the information presented is the same. The screen shots on my website are all from Windows if you want to compare.
Sorry about your issue with Excel on Mac. It really sucks that Microsoft treats Apple products that way. But, it sounds like you did solve it. I understand that LibreOffice or OpenOffice does work better on the Mac.
The only macros have to do with the drop-down boxes and the scroll bars. If they still work after you save the file with them disabled and they still work, you are good. You shouldn’t miss anything else. A number of Mac users say they have saved it that way and everything still works, so you should be OK.
