Charlie P. in town

Charlie came to town yesterday to help raise funds for my congressman Peter Defazio.  Now, it’s not strictly politics…Peter is the founder and chairman of the House Small Brewers Caucus, so there a connection there.  Here’s a pic of some of our club members with Charlie…

If I thought it was truly political, I wouldn’t have posted it.  But to me it’s about Charlie coming to town to visit with homebrewers.

I’m sure you could have just left the whole political reason out altogether and it would have been just the same.  Even with having the main reason he was in town listed I agree it’s not a political post as it’s about Charlie P not the politician.

It was very cool.  He’d been touring our fermentation district with Peter all afternoon.  He’d already hit several breweries.  we had a great chat and he introduced me to a woman named Mary Beth who lives here.  She was the 2nd person ever to win a Ninkasi award.
