Chinook + Idaho 7?

I’m planning a larger (for me) batch to split three ways for a yeast comparison.  I don’t want a whole lot of assertive malt or hops character.  So I was thinking I’d just add a bittering charge at the start of the boil to get the recipe into the 20-30 IBU range.  I can do this without buying any new hops if I combine my leftover Chinook and Idaho 7 – those are the only two high AA hops in my freezer right now.

Has anyone used these two together?

Is this a bad idea?

What says the collective wisdom of the AHA forum?

No problem.  Can’t think of many reason there might be.

Thanks.

Hop flavors sometimes combine is unexpected, almost alchemical ways and didn’t want to proceed a combo known to be problematic.

+1 on using them together.  I actually think they’d complement each other nicely.
