cream ale

I want to brew a cream ale for my first AG. I was thinking of getting a AG kit from Midwest Supplies but I’ve been reading up on and was thinking I might want to do my own thing. This is what I have come up with for a 5 gal batch

7# 2 row barley
.5# caraplis
2.5 # flake corn

mash 154F

boil 75 min

liberty hops 1oz 60min and 1 oz last 5 min

wyeast 1056

I’d mash a lot lower myself.  Maybe more like 150.

The recipe looks fine, I might try it myself.

I always mash my cream ale ( and I make a lot of them, too many maybe) at around 146 - 150 like Denny said. They turn out too sweet for my taste if mashed too high.
