I use a ceramic heater like Sean.

That’s what I use too. Mine is about 6 X 6 X 6 inches, and I run it off my 2 stage Ranco. If you get one be sure it only has analog controls, otherwise it will reset when the controller turns it off, and sit there looking stupid the next time the controller turns it on.

The cooling circuit on my fermentation chamber is all I use.

When the weather gets cool and I actually need heat, I just throw an electric heating pad in the chamber. My pad has three power settings and I just dial up enough heat to keep the chamber from dropping lower than my desired temperature. The cooling circuit will kick in as needed to keep it from overheating.

The heating pad does not need to be controlled.

The heating pad I own automatically shuts off after two hours.

Looks like you selected poorly. There are still pads that don’t have auto shut off.

This question comes up pretty regularly.  I use a hairdryer.  No light, and it circulates the air.  On top of that it is cheap.  With all those advantages, I don’t know why it is not more popular.

The circulation idea does sound good.  The one downside I see is that a hair dryer draws a lot more juice than a Fermwrap, lizard rock, etc. if that’s a consideration.
