Does anybody have experience with these burners?
How did you support them?

That looks like the one Keith (majorvices) posted a pic of.
I think the 1/2" pipe holds it in position.
It’s similar to Keith’s but his has way more jets.
Mine are actually for high pressure tanks. Are you using LP natural gas?
I have the natural gas version. You’ll need to rig a mount somehow. I have mine set raised on two bricks to allow for good air-flow- which is critical. You’ll want a good deal of clearance as well. They’re tricky.
I think there are better buys, albeit more expensive: such as the Blichmann floor burner: Blichmann burner
You can get them a lot cheaper - http://www.topfoodservice.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=KECAB
Uh-oh! This is interesting! http://www.topfoodservice.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=KECABJ016&Category_Code=KECABJ&Product_Count=15
Depending on your configuration, you’ll need the 1/2" to 3/8 compression fitting that you screw your regulator hose on.
Thanks for the info guys. I was planning to use a large LP tank just because we don’t have natural gas lines in the garage. Maybe I’ll look at the blichman floor burners. I just need enough heat to boil about 40 gallons. I feel like it’s two of those big burners, but I haven’t done any calculations yet.

You can get the same burner with a different housing and it is on sale for $80 here:

In my best Beavis voice, “Huh, huh. FIRE! FIRE!”
My friend is using a similar pair that are hard plumbed. They work great, but they constantly need minor adjustments and keep them out of the elements when not in use.
I am running the 21 jet burner for natural gas and have ended up removing all of the outer jets (leaving 8 per burner). You really need a solid gas supply to run all of those jets; especially if you are running more than one burner and a long distance from your gas supply. I have a 25’ flexible line that feeds 1/2" pipe and it works fine for my configuration. The amount of heat is just fine to get a 10 gallon batch boiling.
As euge said, you need a good amount of clearance. I think I am about 8" from the burner tips and I should really probably be farther.
Ditto. I use the 10 jet burners with NG and they work great. I tried a 20 burner and the flame just wasn’t as good.
I am thinking about getting one of these and incorporating it into a cook/brew station on my deck. Will any of you post pictures of your setup?
Thanks!
Dano
Not really setup like this anymore but a good example of the flame:
Wow! That is a heck of a flame. And yours is the 21 jet?
Thanks!
