First things first;
I flipped through the first couple pages of this forum section and didn’t see my question, although I’m certain it’s been asked at some point. But I posted a pretty newbie question the other day and everyone was really helpful so I figured I would just keep asking questions as they came to me.
So I bottled my first batch today using an auto siphon. Once it stopped flowing I looked into a the bucket and saw about 2 inches of clay/mud like sediment. I assumed this was not something I wanted to put into my priming sugar and then bottle.
Then I thought to myself (after I had bottled all the beer), what if the sediment included the yeast needed for carbonation.
Am I completely off base here? Or will my ‘decent’ IPA be flat even after 3 weeks.
Thanks
