… pathetic.  All fruit has to offer in the argument that you should eat more fruit instead of just meat is that it allows you to eat more meat.  Truly a piteous food that cannot justify its own existence and must instead rely on the prospect of increased consumption of bacon and ribs.

My mother always used to say…Bacon, Eggs and Sunshine is what keeps us healthy.

I tend to agree with her.  I think the key is to exercise moderation. Too much of any one thing is not good for you.
Fruit is good for you… that’s for sure. Vitamins and minerals.

It’s great for marinating meat, I use it in my bulgolgi.  Fruit is awesome.  Without fruit we wouldn’t have such awesome things as Wisconsin Belgian Red, Rejewvenator, Raison d’Extra, I could go on.  Not to mention apple pie, blueberry jam, strawberry shortcake . . .

Fruit is good for you in moderation. It has the worst kind of sugar- fructose. However, I’d skip a soda to eat an apple or orange any day! BTW I don’t drink soda, I figure beer is bad enough.

I couldn’t live without fruit, we go through piles of it. Gets me going in the morning. Fructose is one of the healthiest readily digestible sugars. Its instant energy, A couple of pieces of fruit in the morning gives me a lot of energy, which I need to have cause I have to be pretty physically active in the AM.

The body definitely needs fat and protein, our brains are mostly fat. But to much meat is definitely bad for you, im sure its bad for me. The average American male has 5 lbs of undigested red meat stuck in their bowel by the time they are 50. We evolved past eating only meat.

Good healthy balance and variety is the way to go.

We eat meat here once or twice a week, all other meals are vegetarian. Healthy and economical.

The average American is about 150lbs of undigested red meat!  And prefers to stay undigested!
