NOT the one with the glove! Today would have been Michael Jackson’s 72nd birthday. If it wasn’t for him, good beer would be much harder to find these days. He also pretty much came up with the lexicon of beer description.

pint raising scheduled for later this evening.
Loved ‘The Beer Hunter’ series. Cheers to Michael.

An auspicious day. He shares a birthday with my daughter and my son’s Godfather.
I had a “Beer Hunter” CD for Windows back in the 3.1 days. I wonder if I could still find it.
Had some cool beer themed wallpaper.
Now I must find it and hoist a pint tonight.
Cheers! :) I will raise a pint or more indeed tonight!

It was an interactive CD. I don’t recall too much about it, but no videos.
IIRC, you could click on areas of the world for beer styles or something along those lines.

I think this was it: Amazon.com

Sounds cool!
Found my disk. It’s The Beer Hunter Field Guide. The complete interactive guide to the beer renaissance. Copyright 1995.
It requires a 486SX CPU with a minimum of 4MB RAM and Windows 3.1.
I feel old.

I appropriated some unused servers for a project one time only to discover that their host names were BillieJean, Thriller, BeatIt, etc. In keeping with the MJ theme (almost) I renamed them Avery, DryDock, LeftHand, etc. The big slow hunk of junk with all the disk drives we used for backup on that project got renamed to Coors.

Found my Field Guide as well! 1995 was about the time I went all grain. What’s MSCDEX version 2.2 or later?
