I might be able to brew this week but probably won’t get to the brew store. I want to brew an APA but the only appropriate yeast I have is the chico yeast that is sitting at the bottom of one of my batches of cider, which should be ready to rack. Any problems doing this?
Fresh yeast, should work out great.
Yea, I don’t see a problem, just wondered if I missed something. I’m not worried about apple flavor, I’m pretty sure that won’t carry over, I’m just wondering if fermenting something with a vastly different chemical make up mattered, in other words have I selected different yeast characteristics making soda than I would have making beer?
No guts, no glory!
