help!i

I can’t sign into the board from my laptop. I get a message that’s says I need to check my cookie settings. Things were fine, then I just went to sign in one day, and all hell broke loose! I writing this on my Droid. What do I need to do?

Try checking your cookie settings

Are you accepting cookies?  Have you tried another browser?  Another computer?

I hear Droids use bacons instead of cookies…  ;D

This is almost as bad as racking to secondary after three days… ;D

Get a Mac.

http://www.ubuntu.com/ubuntu

That’s bad?

Getting a MAC would be jumping from the kettle to the fire.

A MacRib?

Says the guy who’s never had a Mac before.  ;) All I can say is that every Mac I ever had since the early 90’s still turns on and works fine, except for one iPod and one IIsi that the monitor went out on and I don’t know if it works or not. That includes a Mac Classic that was probably pre-91 (that I bought used).

I’ve had two Dell machines in that time as well and neither of them lasted more than 4 years.

True, I’ve never owned one just like I never owned a Yugo. Some times the reasons are just blatantly obvious.

This has happened to me occasionally, usually it’s due to persistant cookies, from what I can see. Did you try completely clearing your cookies from the browser?

It has nothing to do with Mac/PC/Ubuntu, FWIW - If you’re trying to access via IE that’s probably the problem; try in Firefox or Chrome and let us know if you have the same problem.

I made you a rant about macs vs PCs but then I eated it.

Comparing a MAC to a Mercedes is like comparing  Bud Light to Celebration Ale.

That’s why I say its obvious you’ve never owned one. It’s the little things on a Mercedes like the way the doors shut, the low road noise, the dashboard display lights - things like these that let you know you are on a quality machine. ya know, intuitive stufff. Not like in Windows where you go to “START” when you want to shut down. As a person who has been forced to use both through out my adult life I can tolerate windows but I enjoy working on a Mac.

being a beer geek is one thing, but geeks in general?
let me know the cause. i have this problem from our new computer as well. i have used all the different browsers and adjusted cookie settings. still a no go.

which means i only post from work 8)

When you turn off a MAC don’t you depress the same button that you use to turn it on? I believe that you use the same key to turn a Mercedes on or off. What’s your point?

Now we’re just getting pedantic
