The AHA has launched the general home beer and wine maker survey! The goal of this survey is to obtain better data on the overall homebrew market. Everyone taking the survey (outside of BA staff and GC members, sorry!) will be entered into a drawing for one $1,000 gift certificate or one of five $200 gift certificates to the homebrew supply shop of their choice.
I took the survey. The AHA impresses me so much. It is such a great value. I really enjoy Zymurgy and it is worth the price of membership. Besides that, thry are always looking to make improvements and learn from the past. Keep up the good work. Allright. Enough of the love fest.
I took the time to respond to the very last question by stating that “Black IPA” is neither for India nor pale nor anything different from either: A) a regular IPA with black food coloring, or B) an American stout which is already a recognized beer style. I think they’ll get a kick out of that.
I’m in the same boat. I made a good guess, but I don’t really want to know

Equipment costs vary so much as the hobby progresses. I have spent very little in the past few years on equipment, but over 20 years it amounts to quite a bit.

I was going to guess on what I spent but I’m one of those anal home accounting dorks so I went into quicken and pulled up my categories for beer equipment and beer ingredients categories…needless to say I nearly spit up all over my screen
