A work in progress, have already changed the spout design, and need to gussy it up some, but it pours a half pint (almost) per draw. Will be brewing bitter this weekend to test this out on!
What was the cylinder taken off of?
please expound a little. looks great
Its a Bimba cylinder, bigger than needed, only using a third of the stroke, or so, 2 1/2" diameter. The frame is some scrap 1.5 inch angle iron welded up, a hold down clamp on the top and two check valves. The spigot is 1/4 inch SS tubing.
Could you show a side veiw. I cant fiure how beer is getting to spout/
Looks mightily cool.
Would also love to see more pics of this beast.
nice work!
Classy looking unit!! It reminded me of a “Beer Engine” that was built out of an RV Water Pump that was in a Brew You Own article a number of years ago. Here’s the link: http://www.byo.com/stories/projects-and-equipment/article/indices/20-build-it-yourself/349-build-a-beer-engine-projects I think yours is much more efficient though. I remember using one of those RV Pumps in an old Shasta Trailer when I was a kid. It seemed like it took forever to fill a glass… Cheers!!!
very cool. I want me one.
