HUH? Where am I? I recognize the people, but not the place. Did you guys drag me here while I was passed out? ![]()
Wow, now I see LOTS of people I know!
hi,
looks like the place to be.
cheers,
darth
OK…now here’s a toast to the great new forum.
raise your glasses folks.
The Great New American Beer Forum live and in living color. 8)
This looks like a great pub. I think I’ll stop in here frequently!
Glass raised, second runnings collecting!
Does this mean what I think it means? ![]()
Dang, all those choices
finally made it down to the Pub.
It is beer30 here.
Glad to have stumbled in.
Cheers.
Im here too, finally changed my avatar too.
What do ya think?
Hot dog! You made it. I never realized how much you and Julia look alike.
Yeah I do. When I cook I act like her as well. I do a mean impersonation of julia.
Now if only I could find that outfit of hers.
Looks to be a good start at a forum. If it keeps going well this could be my new go-to forum for sound advice and relaxation. That makes me so happy.

Congratulations Ryan.

I love it. Now you have raised the bar. What a wonderful cook, and great person she was. Bon Appetit!

What do I think??? It’s JULIA, I love it! I started watching here when I was 12 years old (long before most of you were born). She got me to make a chocolate souffle when I was 13. It turned out perfectly and I was hooked on cooking. The love of cooking is what got me into brewing, so I suppose that indirectly Julia is responsible me my brewing addiction!
i thought it was awesome when she said, " you can also chop up a live lobster and add that too"…and then she would stick her hand in a chicken, then without washing her hands, she would start handling veggies.
good stuff,
darth
That is because there was no plumbing to the prop sink.
Also, there was virtually no concept of sanitation back in the olden days. ;D
I learned to cook watching Julia too. Then later it was Jeff Smith. Now, I look back and cringe at some of their methods.

So…Is it taboo to talk freely about NB here or no? Denny?
Not trying to start anything…just want to talk about it without the thread getting deleted in 2.5 seconds…
Anyways…glad to be here…just getting weird over there…
I’m certainly not trying to speak for anybody but my self but I’m sure a NB topic would be fine as long as it stayed within the rules of the forum. The administrators and moderators will have to decide what that will be.
As for me, I’d as soon leave the trash talk at the “other place” where it belongs. Not trying to stifle any self expression because I value that highly and when you’re limited, so am I, and I don’t like that.
We can have a new beginning here. We know what went on there and maybe its best left to die.
Welcome, brewing brother.
On to higher thoughts, nobler deeds and greater achievements.
LET IT DIE ALREADY!!! PLEASE!!!
