Keezer build question

A simple way to test for refrigerant lines is to simply turn the chest freezer on and feel the sides. When the compressor is running (light on) you will feel heat where the lines are. I’ve never seen coolant lines in the lid, but anything is possible. Also, you should leave at least two inches of space between all sides that heat up to allow for heat transfer. The box can’t get cold inside unless it expels the heat through the outside walls.

Thanks for the advice.

After turning in the unit and looking at the lid, it was apparent that there was no cooling tubes to conflicted with constructing my kegerator.

It turned out pretty good, if I say so myself.

I’m waiting on the thermostat to arrive, and considering how to lower the wheel carriage an an inch or two. Otherwise, I’m really happy with the results.

Thanks everyone for your advice and interest!

Cheers! Rob
