Lagunitas: A Little Sumpin' Sumpin' Ale

Lagunitas: A Little Sumpin’ Sumpin’ Ale

What a great light-medium bodied, citrus/grapefruit hop dominant, malty golden colored ale.

A: Pale clear gold with a small white head. Good head retention. Excellent lacing.

S: Smells like an American IPA, soft citrus, and grapefruit aromatics. Some malt on the back end, but overall dominated by the hops.

T: Smooth grapefruit hoppy balance, soft pine flavors linger, wheat softens everything out but is secondary to the bitter hops and lets them shine.

M: Medium bodied, extremely drinkable. Lingering dryness in the finish.

D: Leaves a very nice smooth hoppy finish. The 7.3% ABV is hidden extremely well. Surprisingly this beer is a pale wheat, but I’ll drink it all day. A great beer.

Nothing beats having it straight off the bottling line at Lagunitas…ahhh  ;D

yeah, it’s a very good beer… and the Sumpin’ Sumpin’ Wild is even better.

Such a nice pint.  Oh how I wish they would bring this brand to England and not just the occasional bottle to London.

Cool!  Got some waiting in the fridge!

It’s great. Maybe we’ll start seeing it on the shelves again.

This just started showing up on the shelves here a couple months ago.  I’ve had a few sixers of it so far.  Very tasty.

I like this so much tonight on the commute home I wrote a haiku about tonight’s “hump day” dinner:

steak on the barbie
heirloom tomato salad
sumpin sumpin. ahhhhhhh.

i had one of these in la crosse wisc last month. goooood beeeer

Wish I would have read this post before I visited the beer heaven
supermarket liquors yesterday and looked at this brew and
walked right on past it… :-\
