I just learned that Leinenkugel’s is closing their brewery in Chippewa Falls, WI. The article stated the Leinie Lodge will remain open. This news came as kind of a shock to me.

We toured that place around 30 years ago and it was a neat place.
My grandfather ran a feed mill in Granton WI and apparently purchased and sold the spent grains as cattle feed based on my mom’s memory of her dad’s business.
Yes a major piece of Brewing History for Wisconsin and the United States in general is closing. I lived about an hour from the Brewery. It will be sad knowing that the Shandy will no longer be brewed there. Will no longer be as enjoyable to drink sadly. The mind has a strange effect that way.
