Mead Exam today...

Nothing like a really hot day to take a mead exam. Eric Lowe and Mike Simmons of Meridian Hive ran the classes, organized by Neil Spake. Really good classes, and folks like Mark Schoppe and Ron Haluzon broke into their cellars bringing some amazing homebrewed and commercial examples. Still feels like we scratched the surface.

I am as prepared as I can be, but still not completely confident. Looking forward to getting it done. Wish me luck.

Good luck! We hope to bottle 20 -25 gallons of various meads tomorrow so will be doing a lot of “tasting” myself.

Sounds great. I recommend plenty of quality control tasting.

Wow. Parts of it I over prepared an I am pretty sure I blew the varietal descriptions, at least on one of them. Overall, feel pretty good. Only need a 60 - so confident.

I am putting down about that much over the next couple of weeks - so may catch up with ya there Pete.

I bet you did great. Now its time to relax and only use the description" tastes great".

Less filling!

You kinda asked for that

I did. I practically begged for it.
