NHC app

I just installed the NHC app on my Android phone.  Pretty darn cool…good job AHA staff!  Also available for iOS.

I just looked for it and couldn’t find it. Any link to the android app?

Never mind I found it. Check out “National Homebrewers Conf.”

Does anyone else have trouble finding the conference site?  All I can get is the “register now” page with no way to jump to the actual NHC pages.

Nope.  No issues here… http://www.ahaconference.org/

I do notice some of the events are missing.  So far I’m noticing BNA/WL Party is missing and the Ménage à Myces seminar.

That looks very cool.  Thanks to whoever had the idea!

This thing is pretty neat!

Yep, this app will be very helpful. I wasted half an hour at work today planning what seminars to attend!

About time.

I still can’t believe they haven’t posted info on the website about it.

The app looks great!

Is there any way to export or share my customized agenda from the app!

I received an email about the app and installed it this morning.  Looks great!

Hey AHA, have you ever heard of Windows Phone?

Mrs. R found it for her iPhone. Apple Store I think. She thinks it is pretty cool.

Given this - I think it’s safe to say no one has heard of Windows Phone! (Seriously - I watch our device testers - 20k flavors of Android, including the Kindle versions, all the iOS devices, but I’ve never seen them handle a windows phone)

I use Solaris, Linux, and Windows machines at work.  My home machine is an iMac because I do not want to have to think that hard, and the underlying operating system is a Unix variant.  However, I chose to go with a Nokia Windows Phone when I upgraded my old phone.  I own a Google Nexus 7 tablet, so I knew that I wanted nothing to do with Android. Even though I loath Windows 8 and 8.1 on a desktop machine, I preferred the Nokia Windows Phone to the iPhone 5.

I looked at the Windows phone during my last upgrade.  The lack of adoption leaves it lacking in the app department, which hinders future adoption.  I don’t know how they break out of that cycle… but in the meantime, Drew is right.  There probably are not enough users to warrant bothering.

Just looked, and there is an app for iPhones on the AppStore.

Looked at my wife’s iPhone and it is on it, and works fine.

I cannot win for losing.  Strike one, there is no support for Windows phone.  Strike two, the app is not compatible with Google Nexus 7 tablets.  My Nexus 7 is running Android 4.4.3, so much for the Android 4.0+ compatibility claim.
