Neat idea. $100 is a bit steep for 1/2 gallon, but $130 for 1 gallon might be worth it.

Its a neat idea, but most of the time, when I get a growler filled, its gone in a day or 2. Most places around town sell glass for about $5. I can break a lot of glass growlers for $100. It is pretty though and I am sure that the tap assembly will be just as fragile as a glass growler is, so really still breakable. I just dont see it, but I also dont keg my beer yet, so thats an advantage I would not be making use of.
I saw this today, too. Like most of these things, it’s a great idea, but about twice the price point I’d be willing to pay. I have limited keezer/fermentation chamber space. I’d love to fill a growler off a keg and leave it in my kitchen fridge while I am using the ferm chamber for brewing lagers. But not at that price.
Such a thing already exists from Deep Wood Brew. They showed a Party Tap http://deepwoodbrew.com/accessories/37-party-tap.html at NHC that fits their SS growlers. Still expensive, but I have one!
Are the deep woods growlers single wall or vacuum insulated?
There are taps that fit on the regular 64oz glass growler that also run on a CO2 cartridge that cost considerably less.
The one I have is single walled.
add in the mini keg (35), the tap(50), and the charger (?? maybe 25?) and the deep woods one is more or less the same prices.
The one in the OP looks amazing though. I am not going to buy one but if I had the excess cash I might well.

Neat idea, but kinda pointless. I fill a growler and it gets drank pretty much immediately. A growler isn’t hard to drink, it’s only 4 pints. And I say that because obviously no one else knows that. Duh.

Looks cool. One of my biggest complaints is the last pint from a growler being flat.
The sight glass wont work. It’s only connected at the bottom so the head pressure will keep it full. It’s a glass beer hose at that point. Same way beer lines in the kegerator stay full.

Honestly I’m on the fence for the 1 gallon. $50-60 for a 1/2 gallon hydro flask makes the 1 gallon reasonably priced.
I’d buy two of those to use with my 1-gallon brewery just for fun :) those look awesome!
To be able to force carbonate, dispense without any other equipment and still be able to stick this in my fridge? For me, that would go a long way toward justification!
