I’ve got an Oktoberfest that I’m getting ready to keg. I have a quart bottle and 2 12oz bottles that I’d like to rack the the beer to before I keg it.
I’ve worked out that I’d need 1.5 tsp of priming sugar for all three bottles. My question is, how much water do I need to disolve the sugar in?
As little as you can use to get it to dissolve. I’d say likely no more than 1/4 cup. Maybe less. Put it in the microwave.
It would be nice to have a syringe as well.
Those Cooper’s carb drops would be ideal in these situations.
I wouldn’t want to dilute it at all. Can you measure well enough to add the sugar directly to the bottles? Or measure the amount of beer you want to bottle and add the sugar before filling?
I have used the carbonation drops that are pills a little smaller than aspirin just dropping three or four into each twelve ounce bottle (depending on the style) and then capping. These are not Cooper’s brand, as seen in the links when I google carbonation drops. I’ll have to see what brand they are when I get home.

thanks for the feed back guys. I will definately be aquiring some of those drops. 
No need to dissolve the sugar before hand. The beer will disolve it and the yeast will feast.
Another option is to keg and carb then fill the bottles. Either way won’t save any time.
I usually end up with a few bottles that didn’t fit in the keg. I just put abour 1/2 tsp of table sugar in the bottles after I fill them.

Force carb it and have something to sip on while the keggies carb.
Something similar to Oscar, I’ve got a few 1/2 gallon growlers so I keep the excess in one of those, then top up the keg after I;ve started pouring. I give it a few days to re-carb but no biggie. Some might say its a waste of CO2 to vent kegs like that, but I inherited a full size 75lb’er, so I’m set for a few years!
