Put beer in fridge after bottling for 2 weeks is it ruined?

I just finished my first batch and didnt know after bottling the beer was to be kept at room temp. After i bottled it i immediately put it into the fridge without thinking it has been in there for almost 2 weeks until I found out it was suppose to be kept at room temp. Is the yeast killed or is there a chance itll be ok if i move it to a warmer spot? It seems like it does have a small amount of carb whrn pored into a bottle

Take it out give it a gentle shake and all will be well

I don’t here Charlie Papizians catch phrase often enough " Don’t worry have a home brew"

Keep it warm

I like to keep my bottles at / around the same temp I ended fermentation at. For example 70-72f for 2 weeks. Thats for us05 or wlp 001, pale ale or ipa.  Refrigerate for a week then enjoy. Good beer takes time IMO.

CHEERS!

I did this too when I bottled my first batch.  I called my LHBS in a panic.  They told me to let the bottles warm up to room temp, and then tip each bottle upside down to re-suspend any yeast that had settled out and leave them alone for about two weeks.  Everything worked out fine.

A cold fridge is not going to harm the yeast over a two week period. It’s just an impediment to fermentation activity (what you need for carbonation). Keeping the beer at room temperature during carbonation and conditioning ensures timely and complete carbonation.

Yup.  I agree with all of the above.  Your beer’ll be fine, just let them warm up to room temp, re-swirl the yeast a little bit (aka rouse it) and give it a couple-3 weeks at room temp and you’ll be ready to chill and enjoy them.
