My regulator keeps going up to 35 to 40 psi. :-[ I have tried letting all the pressure off of the kegs and lowering the pressure all the way, but it keeps creeping up there. Any ideas?
Disconnect it from the keg and see what happens. I think pressure is either leaking from the tank or the keg, that should help you figure out which.
I disconnected it from the tank and now it reads 0 psi.
So does that mean that I should replace the gasket from the tank to the regulator?
No, it’s not the external tank/regulator gasket that is leaking, it has to be on in the regulator body. If that’s the case, you need to get a rebuild kit and fix the regulator. I’d make sure I’d exhausted all other possibilities first.
Unless someone knows something different, if the adjustment screw on the regulator is all of the way out and the regulator is connected to the tank, and the tank is “on”, and the pressure creeps up . . . rebuild.
