I’m literally just a hose clamp and a barbed 5/16" fitting away from finishing this baby! Ok, I guess I need a few more kegs too. My beer supply is embarrassingly low right now.
That’s beautiful. What size is the cooler?
Thanks! It’s an 8.8 cu ft freezer from Sears.

I paid a lot less than what they list as the current price. They seem to change the price every other week.
Beautiful craftsmanship. Gawd I get inspired every time one of these gets displayed. Like this one alot!
Four kegs on tap. Sounds about right…
Thanks, euge! This was the first time I’ve ever really attempted a woodworking project. But I’m pretty diligent about researching how to do something before I do it. In the end, I was very pleased with the results.
Wow, that is gorgeous!!! I want to do something similar to my chest freezer. I have a 15cf freezer that can fit approx. 8 corny kegs. Now just to get the parts and time.
Yeah man, that looks fantastic.
I have the same chest freezer (though mine is white) that I use for a fermentation chamber. I’ve been very happy with it.
Excellent ;D
Are those both CO2 tanks?
What is the white oval looking thing next to the CO2 tanks?
Now, when you have all your kegs hooked up, how many PSI will you set your regulator for?
Stepping on Matt’s toes…
I’m guessing the second tank is N2 for the stout faucet. The oval thing is an Eva-Dry dehumidifier. I have two and they work really well. And the regulator setting doesn’t change based on the number of kegs.
Phantastic work Matt!
You beat me, but I’m not too far behind you. I’ll post pics when I’m done.
It’s a beauty. 8)

Thanks, Ron! I finally had some free time this weekend and got 'er done. I can’t wait to see your handiwork. 8)
Is the dehumidifier a necessity for converted freezers Why? Thanks. I’m learning here.

Yes, at least in my area. If you don’t d anything the condensation builds up and you end up with mold in your keezer.

Based on the research I did for this project, yes. That said, I never actually “tested” the freezer for mold or condensation. I just figured it would be best to be on the safe side, so I picked up a dehumidifier. I will say that my basement gets pretty damp sometimes, so I don’t think it will hurt to have a little insurance.
I’ve also experienced mold in my keggerator. Not in a basement, but inside an airconditioned home (in FL). I started using a defumidifer granules/powder that I picked up at Home Depot. Been awhile since I used it as my freezer eventually died & haven’t replaced it. I would still occasionally pull everything out of it & clean it up.
Another humidty caused issue besides mold is rust. I’ve seen freezer keggerators start to rust - starting with scratches, and progressing as rust is wont to do. If you see any rust starting, clean it up & paint with enamel appliance paint.
