Super Bowl brews

Any one brewing something up or have something brewed for the Super Bowl?  My wife just asked me last night if I was doing anything for it.  I hadn’t planned on it but since my wife gave me the green light to brew this weekend I guess that is what I will do.  ;D

I brewed an IPA a week ago that should be ready in time so I will probably brew and American wheat for those with more delicate taste buds.  ::slight_smile:

Any one else have anything planned?

Patriots Pale Ale?  Brady Bock?  Belichick Berliner Weisse?

Nothing planned except a Superbowl victory!!!  Also, my fermentors are dedicated right now for brewing for NHC first round.

GO PATS!!!

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves.  The road to New Orleans goes through Denver!

Not if Baltimore has something to say about it.  How are you going to feel seeing Ray Lewis dancing at mid-field  ;D

I would be more worried about The One Armed Man if Joe Flacco wasn’t his team’s QB.  Good work by Dan Shaughnessy to speak for the Patriots and provide the Texans with bulletin board material.

Tom Brady wants to beat Jim Kelly’s Super Bowl record.

If N.E. makes it to the Super Bowl, I’m thinking Berliner Weiss would be the appropriate bier.

How about Broncos Bock! or Manning Mild.

There’s nothing mild about Manning.

Denver’s No Mo’ Tebow Two Row SMaSH?

To brew a beer for the Pats you have to figure out a way to work cheating into the beer.

I would definately brew something that pairs well with cheese.

Yep, all those Packers watching the game on TV will be hungry… ;D

Wow, good one  ::)  I wonder how they cheated when they handed it to Denver back in October.

I have a number of brews ready, but my interest in the game seems to be waning.  Might be cool if the Ravens get there (UD alum).

HAH!!! ;D

Every year I brew for a party that I get invited to and the folks have become accustomed to drinking my homebrew - I bring a 5 gallon keg of a pilsner or relatively tame lager and then a couple growlers of the dark side for those adventurous enough to try it.  Now I have a few guys that want the dark beers exclusively!  Who says the BMC crowd can’t be converted?

;D

Ray meets Wes.  Ray loves that underneath stuff Wes is so fond of.  It makes my bones ache just thinking about it.  :stuck_out_tongue:

My brother-in-law hosts every year, and his guests are mostly BMC beer drinkers, so I’m bringing an American wheat, as in most years past.  One year I brought a mild, and I got sick of hearing, “Oh… I don’t drink dark beers.”

BeliCzech Pils? ;D

Hope you follow your own advice. The Ray Lewis retirement tour’s next stop is Gillette and if there is one team that matches up well with the Pats and isn’t scared of Tom Brady and Bellichek, it’s the Raven’s…

EDIT: That and they should have probably won the game in the playoffs last year against the Pats, so there is the revenge factor.
