This week's brew

will be a 6B Blonde ale, my second recipe adjustment. Seems like I just keep making it simpler while tweaking the process.

8# 2 row mashed at 154°
1/2 oz cascade at 60
1/2 oz at 15
WY1056 repitch at 67°

Should be right down the line on bjcp numbers
I bumped up my mash temp from 148° to add a little body and head
Cut my hops in half, it was getting too close to APA feel
Might read up and try gelatin for a real clear look.

I cheated this weekend and went DME - too hot to mash and I was brewing solo.  This should be on another thread I suppose, but what the heck -

6 lbs wheat DME
1/4 lb melanoiden
1 oz Hallertau 60min
1 pack dry WB-06 pitched at 65F
1 hour brew day - hefeweizen done!
