Does anyone have any experience/opinions on the similarities/differences between the US grown and imported varieties of Challenger hops. I use Challenger extensively in my ESBs and Porters.
I didn’t know there was a US version. I might have to give it a whirl, challanger is a great hop! Good luck.

I was more commenting on the fact that I didn’t realize people were growing it in the US. I’ll stick to using the Challenger I grow myself in the UK…

Here is the response I got from Hopsdirect. I just ordered some.
Thank you for your email, the US Challenger is the same variety
as the UK, brought in a few years ago thru the Dept. of Ag and now a
farmer here in the Yakima Valley has clearance to grow it. Same Variety
different growing location.
