Waiting to use yeast

I know this has been asked before. It can’t find it.

I made a yeast starter for tomorrows brew and I have hold off till next week bc something came up. How do I store it for about a week till I can get to brewing? It has fermented out and settled to the bottom of the flask.

For a week you’re probably fine just leaving it in the fridge and just using it when you’re reading.  Longer and you probably want to throw some fresh starter wort on top.

You’ll be fine. I like to add some of the chilled second runnings to liven up the yeast slurry a few hour prior to pitching.

Do you mean boiled and chilled?

Do i leave it in the fermented wort and just put it in the fridge?

yup. cover it up so nothing nasty gets in.

So I am going to brew tomorrow and the starter has been sitting in the fridge for little over a week. What should I do to get I ready? Could I just let it warm up and dump her in?

I would just decant off the starter wort, and use the yeast slurry. It is fine if it is still cold.
