Interested in buying some wet hops. If you got in on the recent sale by-the-pound, I can take a few ounces off your hands.
Pi - just wanted to make sure you realize, you need to use 4-5x the same amount of dryhops when using wet/fresh - so if you bought 4oz off of someone, they’d equate to about .80-1.0 oz.
www.rebelbrewer.com has wet hops available that they pick and ship the same day.
Yeah but you had to have the order in last Monday
Doh! Guess I’ll see about scoring a pound (hops, that is). Just sayin’…
Damn, that sucks. Guess I shoulda read more closely!
Take some hops. Dunk them in water. Wet hops.

you couldn’t resist, eh?
If you were anywhere near me, you could come and pick all the Cascades you wanted. I’ve got lbs. left from the last 2 years and I’m not looking forward to picking, drying, and packaging this year’s crop.

I’m about as far away from you as you can get in the lower 48, but my question to you is how do you package your hops so they are still good 2 years later?

Damn, this is a good idea and got me to thinking - what if you added the dry hops to wort or beer?

What an idea! What if you even boiled them?!
No way that would work. It would probably just make the beer bitter.

But they would be wet.
:D, yall are funny. I did not realize the Classifieds were so cool.
Who knows how you would send fresh-n-wet hops in the mail?
And Denny, I keep telling you…don’t pick those things, just leave them be. They look beautiful all winter long!
