Trolling Amazon this morning and this popped up! Looks like the Water book will be available this spring! Yippeeeee!!! ;D Of course I will buy my copy from the AHA, but still awesome, none the less!
Sorry to rain water on your parade, but I’ve seen this book’s release dates as last April, September, Christmas, and now April 2013. Not to mention John and Colin post frequently on their Facebook pages that they are working on the water book (the most recent one was last week I think).
These guys seem like they are really trying to nail to info down rather than crank out a book, which I absolutely appreciate.
I hope it’s out for NHC so I can get my copy signed…but if not, I can wait.
Besides, I still have the other books I haven’t finished. I get sleepy when I read so it takes me longer ;D
I think I saw that on Amazon before Christmas. Will order from the AHA. If it is as good as Hops and Yeast, it will be worth the wait. Yes it is taking a while. John says he wants it to be the resource on water for pros and homebrewers. Maybe Martin can give a status?
The Malt book is to be written by John Mallet, Brewery Production Manager at Bells. John has been at Bells for some time. I know at one time he was at Dominion in VA, and he has a Russel Scherer award for Brewery Innovations from the BA. He has the background to make that one a good read too.

I’m glad to see the excitement for the water book! John Palmer and Colin Kaminski are working on this title and it is currently on the fall publishing schedule. As soon as I have the full manuscript, I’ll give another updated release date to Amazon. I’ll also update the Brewers Publications FaceBook page with titles that are in production and post a table of contents once we are in full layout production with graphics. As per usual, there will be an AHA members-only sale before the release date. Stay tuned!
