What should I brew????

I am going to get a few pounds, dried, off my columbus plants.  What the hell do I brew with it other than the logical (pale, ipa)?  Can anyone lead me to the water?

Thanks

Mike

SMaSH?  It’d be interesting to test the single hop character of your plants.

Hoppy pale ale is the way to go if you really want to experience the full character of your hops. If you want to stretch out a bit, I guess robust porter or saison could be other options.

I would also do a saison. I can’t get enough of them this time of year!

Buck tradition and do a CTZ “Pils” or “Kolsch”

If you want to go way out there, you could take a Vienna or Marzen and hop it heavily with your hops. Keep the hopping to FWH and late/flameout hops (and maybe some dry hopping). Sort of like an amped-up Sam Adams.

I’m doing something similar with my “Hoptoberfest” right now (using Columbus, Amarillo and Ultra), and the gravity samples are so damn tasty I don’t know if it will finish lagering before I end up drinking it all…
