I have plenty of Irish Red Ale and Oatmeal Milk Stout. Oatmeal Milk Stout isn’t exactly Irish but close enough.
Mostly dark stuff as one might expect - Oatmeal stout, English Mild, and a dark and somewhat roasty lager that missed being a Schwarzbier and ended up more like a portery lager (but I like it!)
Nothing whatsoever! :( Working a 14 hour day.
irish porter i brewed in january for the occasion.
I might go crazy and get an Irish Cream Latte from the green beans on Bagram.
i cracked my irish red yesterday - more of a traditional irish ale like smithwick’s.
Gotta love the green bean. I swear that saved me a few times my first deployment. Second was in the sticks, so I lived off of whatever beans Starbucks sent us in my crappy drip coffeemaker.
Oh, and I will probably have some sort of stout, my wife and I are headed to a local brewery for some beer and Corned beef.
Edit: To stay on topic.
I’ve been trying to kick into a bottle of Gueuze Tilquin that’s been sitting in my fridge all week, but I keep getting tied up and never find time to sit down to enjoy it. I’ll probably drink that tomorrow since tonight’s beer is my Unibroue Quad while I watch the UFC. Figure it’s appropriate since the fights are in Quebec.
Guiness Foreign Extra Stout. Best thing they make IMHO.
Probably water most of the day, I have to miter a bunch of trim for the kitchen and living room. My wife’s a nurse and doesn’t think I should drink and operate the miter saw at the same time. But, once I finish I still have half a keg of my rye stout that is pretty damn good.
Since when did nurses become experts in carpentry?
I won’t be having any today (I don’t drink at all on St. Paddy’s day). But yeah, Foreign Extra is the best thing they make…to me it’s the real Guinness.
In fact, I prefer both Extra and Foreign Extra over any other stout out there.
Founder’s Dry-hopped Pale Ale atm but I’m sure others will follow over the course of the day!
oatmeal robust porter and cherry chocolate oatmeal robust porter
Meantime Pale Ale and now my Rye Pale Ale.
Guiness and a few of my barrel aged beers that are still around… A Soured Scottish 80 and a recently bottled Old English Ale (aged in a bourbon barrel).
Actually having a SN Ruthless Rye at the moment. Have the day off tomorrow, so a beer or three are in order. Happy SPD to all!
I ended up drinking an Old Rasputin and a CBC SOhio Imperial Stout…Not a bad combination!
Homebrewed porter, rye stout, cherry brett. Store boughts-Mariage Parfait, Saison Dupont, others whosenames I don’t recall. My wife somehow invited people over for a party so I participated.
I had my parents and girlfriend over for stout-hearted stew with colcannon and my homebrewed Irish Red and Irish Stout from JZ’s Brewing Classic Styles. I should’ve taken pictures but all I got was the dog chillin next to the dining room table. And I don’t know home to insert images.
