Zymurgy app problem

Hi All,

I’ve recently become an AHA member and have been looking forward to browsing through the Zymurgy online magazines.  Unfortunately, the app just doesnt appear to work properly at all!

On day 1 of my membership I managed to download the Nov/Dec 2019 issue, but since then I’ve had nothing but problems.  I get a number of different errors:

 1. My username/password is incorrect.  Retrying normally bypasses this eventually, then…
 2. The issue list appears blank.  Closing the app and restarting normally fixes this, then…
 3. Trying to download an issue tells me my Internet connection isnt up to the job (see screenshot).  This is surprising, as my VDSL at home is 60Mbps and at work we’re on a 200Mbps leased line.  I can’t get past this error…

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
Sean

I haven’t had time to check out Zymurgy lately, but you got me curious and so I just tried the app.  I’ve never had any problems before, but today I’m having all that you mentioned and more (including a message that the server’s validity cannot be confirmed.)  So it’s definitely not working at all, and this is definitely not par for the course.  I am an electronic only subscriber, so no soup for me.  Hopefully they are aware of the problem and are working to fix it.  Hello, Zymurgy?  Bueller?  Bueller?

Thanks, guys.  Just reported it to the IT dept.

Hey Sean-

Can you shoot me an email and we can dig into this? duncan(at)brewersassociation(dot)org

I’m seeing the same issues as well.

Moto G5+
Android 8.1.0

Anyone having problems should email Duncan directly to help solve the problem.

I should probably have noted that my internet connection is 100mbps, and I’m running the app on the latest Android OS.

Ok thanks.

No problem, done!

Sean

Hey everyone-

Thanks to those that have sent along the info. I wanted to post an update here for anyone else that may run into this thread…

We’re being made aware of some instances of Android users having issues accessing the Zymurgy app. While we explore a solution, we’re advising users affected to access Zymurgy online via HomebrewersAssociation.org.

We appreciate everyone’s patience in the meantime!

Looks like the problem’s been resolved for me.  Downloaded a few issues this morning without any issues!
