Looks like it takes all the fun out of brewing to me…

The $80 stainless steel steins are a bit pricy too. I wonder how many real paying customers this site has?

Probably more than you’d think. They’ve been around for many years selling expensive toys to people with too much money.
Someone who previously lived in my house is on that mailing list. I get the catalog all the time. kind of fun to look through. I tried to talk my wife into letting me get the $40,000 1 person orka submarine but she said no :
looks like a single tier brew stand to me. you still have to mill the grain, mix it into the mash water and decide all your variables. That being said 45k is ridonkulous

It’s nothing more than Sharper Image but for douchebags. For $45,000 you could start your own brewery on a small scale and with used equipment.

Ive seen 7 BBL systems for that price!!!
There is NO used brewing equipment market.
Just letting you know that.
Haha, one of my favorite parts of Beerfest was when the guy introduced his sons, Hammacher and Schlemmer.
Amen to that, brother. 8)

Come to England and you will find your statement wrong.
+1 - England, France and Italy all have a lot of used equipment for (somewhat) reasonable prices

Heat Exchange RECYCLING Mash? Thought for sure it was Recirculating mash. Recycling just sounds gross. And $45K? What the eff…what kind of idiot would buy this?

I liked that one of the “May We Recommend” links to other products at the bottom of the page is:
This is the kit that provides all of the tools, ingredients, and easy-to-follow instruction to make four gallons of home-brewed craft beer. The kit includes two hopped malt extracts--an India Pale Ale and a Witbier.

Quite the range of homebrew equipment, huh? LOL
At least for the money it appears you really get a fully functional, automated brewery - not some crappy pre-hopped extract “brewery”.
Those $80 steins are $25 on Amazon.
