I get no red X’s using firefox.  Using IE I get X’s for Cap, Mikey, euge, beersk, and hokerer and I can see the avatars of everyone else that posted in the thread.

Don’t know what’s going on??  I saw I had the “red X” yesterday. Checked my profile settings & reloaded the avatar. Seems to be working now???  Cheers!!!

I hate when people change their Avatar. I associate them with the picture, at least for quick identification purposes. Its already like playing concentration trying to remember who everyone is. The Avatar helps a lot.

Red X here…sometimes etraffic can get blacklisted between servers if there is a spam thing

URLs are the same for both broken and unbroken avatars. There might be a metadata issue that IE isn’t getting. Do you guys remember what the file type of the images you uploaded was?

Those X’s you’re getting from IE is its way of telling you that you should switch browsers.

Except for the fact that, like akr above, when you’re at work, you most likely don’t have a choice of browsers.

Everyone’s IT policy is different so it depends of course.  But ours is pretty restrictive as far as installing software and firefox works fine here.  Another option is to load firefox onto a usb drive and run it from there.

I don’t want to get into browser arguments, but I’d reccommend Chrome over FF over IE.

Still doesn’t address the core issue, though.
