Big Brew 2012 - Saturday, May 5

AHA Big Brew was created to celebrate National Homebrew Day (May 7). Each year homebrewers around the world invite family and friends to their brewing sites on the first Saturday in May to celebrate the holiday.

The AHA collaborated with the Craft Brewers Association (CBA) in England to represent two classic styles from two different countries. One is an American Brown Ale, supplied by AHA National Homebrew Competition gold medal winners Mike and Steve Brown. The other, a Northern English Brown Ale recipe, was a medal winner at England’s National Homebrew Competition and provided by Matthew Hicks of the CBA.

Thank you! I’ve fixed all the subject lines.

I have ULTIMATE POWER! Muaah haaa haaaa!

Ok - back to work.

One of these years, we’re going to have to figure out a way to do a big brew here in SoCal since we’re all busy doing the SoCal Homebrewer’s Festival that weekend.

Yeah, for some reason the Sasquatch Brewfest always schedule the homebrew judging that day, no matter how many times I remind them  I haven’t been able to judge that in years becasue I’m committed to BB.

I’ll be brewing at Denny’s.  That will be our (my wife and I) 301st batch.

Cool!  We’ll do something to celebrate!

Get your request in before midnight on Thursday (4.26) to receive free copies of Zymurgy: An Introduction to Homebrewing for your AHA Big Brew event! http://bit.ly/ZymurgyIntro

I met a fellow homebrewer (4 hours away, but still) through the new BBD site, how cool!
