Has anyone dry hopped with the cryo hop pellets? I heard the cryohop powder was very difficult to dry hop with cause it just sits on top of the beer. Does anyone know if the pellet version does the same thing?
My LHBS has been really pimping them out. Curious about them as well.
I’ve dry hopped with them several times so far. They act just like any other pellet hop. No problems at all.
Glass marbles and a muselin bag would do the trick.
Don’t think that would work for the powder. The pellets don’t need it.
Why not, too coarse of a bag?
How about a fine mesh nylon bag with weights? I have powder from HBC, didn’t know any better.
Give it a try. Seems like the powder would either leak out of the bag, or “glop” up in side it. The way most brewers used the powder is to blend it with T90s, which help the powder sink.
If I can’t find Loral pellets to use with the powder, the powder goes into a fine nylon bag.
