Whiskey’s too rough, champagne costs too much, vodka puts my mouth in gear, this little refrain should help me explain, as a matter of taste I like beer! I saw the other day the Tom T. Hall passed away, his little ditty has long been one of my theme songs.
Perhaps I mebbe should oughta include Beer drinkers and hell raisers, as we also lost Dusty Hill recently.
Another sure sign that I’m getting old, most of the famous people who’s names I recognize are dead, and I don’t have a clue who any of the celebrities who are having birthdays are. Correct that, old and completely out of touch, probably should come out of my cave occasionally.
Old Tom T. was a great story teller for sure. Another of his greats was, Old Dogs, Children and Watermelon Wine.
Almost forgot, Faster Horses, Younger Women, Older Whiskey and More Money.
I saw Tom T Hall sing once. It was a good time. RIP
