Second batch went in the carboy today. Same recipe as the first batch as I wanted to see what it would taste like when made correctly. Sure is A LOT easier to do the second time around.
Drinking the first batch at a two-a-week clip to see if there’s any difference. Second week pair seemed much improved over the first week ones.
It will continue to improve.
With the stronger Scottish ales especially, you’re probably going to find that the last few bottles are going to be the best tasting ones. Since you have another batch going already, see if you can stash a few bottles away to sample at 4 to 6 months. You may be pleasantly surprised.
Well said, pretty sure my first batch was gone after 12 days of bottle conditioning…had some friends over and we drank it all…got us all drunk and I was hooked…Looking back, it tasted terrible…hahaha, I just thought BEST.HOBBY.EVER!
