We got to brew at Sierra Nevada and if you live in CA, you can get it shipped straight to your house. (and it’s a normal beer!)

Did you brew on the pilot system? When we had 99 Bottles, we we invited to brew a collaboration beer with other members in the industry. Great time!

yeah this was done as two turns on the 10BBL brewhouse. The crew was fantastic, Ken and Steve were warm and welcoming hosts and everyone was excited.
Here’s the recipe for anyone who wants to fart around with it.
For a 5.5 gallon batch at 1.054 OG, 25 IBUs, 5.5 SRM, 5.8% ABV, 80 minute boil
Malt
5.75 lbs Pilsner malt
2 lbs Bolander Munich
0.5 lbs Vienna malt
0.6 lbs Carapils
0.33 lbs Honey malt
0.33 lbs Victory malt
0.33 lbs Melanoidin malt
Mash
Protein Rest - 120°F for 15 minutes
Low Saccharification Rest - 149° F for 30 minutes
High Saccharification Rest - 162°F for 30 minutes
Hops (whole)
0.5 oz Hallertau Blanc 10.5% First Wort Hop
0.25 oz Hallertau Tradition 6% 25 minutes
0.5 oz Hersbrucker 4% 5 minutes
0.5 oz Saaz 4.5% 5 minutes
Yeast
Saflager 34/70 (or variants)
Extras
- Add Calcium Sulfate (0.8g) and Calcium Chloride (3g) to Mash
- Add Calcium Sulfate (1.6g) and Calcium Chloride (2.1g) to boil kettle at 0 minutes
