Just did another batch of kolsch. SG was pretty low have forgot the actual number but i want to say like a 1.040 maybe according to the hydrometer it should come out to 4 or mid 4 ABV. I added another pound of sugar in hopes it gets a bit more active. Any advice?
Kristin has both 2565 and 2575 listed as Weihenstephan 165. Is this in error or are they different isolates from the same original strain (e.g., W34/70 and W34/78)?
Omega claims their alt strain is similar to 036 and their kolsch II strain is similar to 029, but they state that both are low flocculators (http://omegayeast.com/pdf/OYL_StrainList_4-14.pdf). WLP036 drops clear for me, and others say the say for WLP029. Just adds more confusion as to what is what. :o
