I hear you. Everything here became green this past weekend (84F on Saturday). Of course this morning we had an inch of snow and are looking at 24F for a low tonight. Three seasons in three days? Must be Iowa.
Happy to hear the hops are coming up. For me it’s the raspberries survived the winter!!
I hate to be a bummer, but my Cascades are 4’ tall, the Centennials are almost 2’. That’s today, but tonight we get a hard freeze that should kill all the current growth. But they’ll come back.
Mine have yet to pop up, but I think they’re just holding back, ready to release that pent-up energy in a huge burst. Make way for an epic harvest!
I still have 7.5 lb of 2014 hops in my freezer - quite a fine selection of organic homegrowns. I’ve often thought that I could lose a whole season’s worth and still be just fine. Gotta love the bounty of a good hopyard.
