mash paddle/stir paddle

I need to buy/make a mash paddle that i also could stir my bk with.

The $3 spoon isn’t getting it done.

I don’t want a 6’ one, more like 3’

Anyone make these?  What type of wood?

Check northern Brewer:

or Stainless Steel Mash Paddle

Both are 30" long or so they say.

a little web searching turned up enough picutes of what I’ll probably make.  Then I’ll post it.

Ingredients:
Non treated 1 x 4 x 36 - preferably oak

Adjuncts:
Pencil
Saber saw
Barlow sharpened to a fine edge
1/2" drill bit
Drill
120 grit sandpaper

Method:
Go at it

Cost:
Les that $5

Total time:
15 minutes

I have the doweled mash paddle that works great. Just be careful with it if your using a braid. I got the braid caught in it once and had to replace it.

I made one like Tubercle’s and love it!  The nice thing about a solid oak paddle is, you don’t have to worry about someone sneaking up and trying to steal your brew!  ;D

I made mine out of maple.
