Yeah, super tough categories with a lot of entries in each one! Out of five, I only got one through. Old ale took a gold. I really thought I had some better chances this year, but at least one made it. Tough competition with lots of people making some great beer!
Also, kudos to all who advanced. There were over 700 entries here, roughly as many as for the entire Indiana Brewers Cup last year. It’s great for the hobby.
Struck out again. Thought a British BW had a chance.
Susan stewarded, I judged, all the sessions. It was a pretty good weekend. The event was really well run, so my hats off to the team that organized this round.
Does anyone know when and how scores will be revealed? My recollection is that they were actually posted on the competition site before we received the judging sheets but I can’t really remember. Thx
I normally go through the Minneapolis region. But, I went through Indy since it is my home town. They also say that the Minneapolis region is tough. I think because everybody brings their A game in all the regions. I know that’s my thinking.
Sure thing. It have brewed several iterations of it with all scoring well and medaling in comps. This is my latest version with an emphasis on extra depth of malt character requested by various judges at various comps.
