no signs of bubbling

Well another question I brewed my first extract coopers canadian blonde on sunday four days ago and as of today I have very little bubbling from the air lock (very little) I have not checked my gravity or even opened top. The question is is it time to bottle or sopld I check gravity and put in secendary fermenter hold for another week and bottle?

Thank you
Lee

You don’t want to transfer until you check the gravity. And don’t rely on bubbles from the airlock. You never want to transfer until you are sure the beer is finished fermenting.

would it be ok to open and check gravity say friday that will be 5 days?

Sure… just make sure everything is properly sanitized.

If you are using a bucket fermentor then I wouldn’t worry about a bubbling airlock, my buckets rarely bubble their airlocks.  I use the krausen cap as my indicator of a healthy ferment.  Check your gravity over the weekend and I am sure you will see that your yeast are busy churning out great beer.

Mine rattle like a high school drumband on triple expresso’s. That said, I agree, gravity is the judge. You may have had a leaky seal somewhere…
